Term 4,Week 8

On Sunday My church went to long bay. We have lot of fun,because we had a games. First game was...well I don't actually remember the game name but I will tell you how to play. There was a three groups and that's land of Jesus dream I forget the other one but the last one is adults.So, we make a two circle and one circle which is small go inside of the other circle and then we sing a song and inside circle goes right and the other circle goes left.next when the one lady call the number then we must gather round of that number.next game was my favorite. This game is you need to make group and do the team work. this is what you need:  basket,cups and water bottle. Now we grab the cup and get some water from basket and pass over to behind person. I was in the front so I get all wet. Next game is team work again.you you need to blow a balloon same size of your face and hop to other corner. Now someone who blow the balloon put the balloon between two person's back and two person walk like a crab with the balloon.When two person go to other corner then little kid hold the balloon and two adults make a nice arm chair and move to other corner and four person walk like a duck with the balloon [low duck walk] and move to other corner and then one person get balloon and move to start and give to on lady and that team who came first is the winner.also I play at the beach and I saw some  water snails. I think I had a such a great time.

My reflection is I know how to do narrative workshop and how I make it make sense. It was fun because it just writing a fun story. My next step is to make my story make sense.

My Swimming Reflection

Last week dolphins went to swimming, and I'm in the dolphin too . We learnt star swimming and we did some race,kicking and hold the breath in the water and we get some free time. My friend Georgia and I played on the tube and when I get the ball, I try to sit on it but it was too hard.Oh! also we race, and I came third.It was bit easy and fun because I learnt everything of swimming at Korea.it was so fun and I exciting for this Thursday.

My Reflection is I knew about how can we help with nonfiction text to reader and I wrote text, pictures and maps.I knew about explicit and implicit and it's really fun. Explicit is like telling us and like facts.Implicit is like thinking our head.

Term 4,Week 6

Last Friday My family watched Movie at HOYTS called "Specter". We watched because we always go to HOYTS one out of time the months. First we need to get ticket and we wait one min. Second we asked to the man and ladies for glasses,But sadly they said 'sorry but cannot found' so we didn't get any and we found our sit and dad buy some ice cream. First part of the movie was skeleton party and then movie begins. When we finished the Movie I felt bit scarred and bit YUCK because there was a some of part that I does not to see. Some of part was scarred because it's actually gun movie. My best fun part was..... When the 007 [double 07 James Bond] said to the man that his name is Micky Mouse and 007 try to kill the little tiny mouse. I think I had Great Friday!!

Term 4,Week5

On Saturday my sister,my dad and I went to Point view reserve. We have a little walk with my sister and my dad,and I win because I ran,but actually it wasn't race but I like to wait and running.we ate the breakfast at reserve and I were felling pretty awesome.But the sad part was our plan was eat the breakfast and I play some games but we have only one hour and we had walked 15 min and 30 min we ate the breakfast and we need to clean some stuff for 15 min so sadly that's why we can't play,But I think we had a AWESOME morning

Term 4,Week 4

Yesterday,my dad and I woke up at 6:30,and we went to walking to playground, because we like to walk at the morning. In the playground there was a no one,so it was a bit fun,because I don't need to wait for that what I like to ride. When we was walking down the hill,we heard firework. I think it was because of the All blacks. When we was nearly playground,we heard whooping from 2 or 3 house and my dad said "I think all blacks won" and I start to whooping with crazy dancing. When I came to house my sister said " Where have you've been??? Bed empty,no notes,shoes gone look what you done?" I know that really funny.Actually she copy Harry Potter,I mean FROM  Harry Potter.I think I have a best Sunday morning

My Grandma

My grandma is live in Korea.My grandma has a little cute house,she has a MAGICAL hand,because she is a great cooker.She has a noddle hair ans it's kind of cute and match for her.One time she send us Korea traditional food,because my sister cannot eat dinner without that food.My grandma is really kind she always buy yummy food for us.She is an angle.I think I know why that my is a great cooker,because my grandma was a great cooker first! I think I have a great,wonderful,lovely grandma.

It was easy because I just need to write about my grandma.My next step is to I should write more 5 W & 1 H

Term 4, Week 2

Today the dolphin team went to swimming pool to learn how to swim and also for fun. We learnt about kicking and walking in the water. The water walking was fun because when I went to the swimming pool with my dad and we did a lot of water walking. The kicking was really easy because I had learnt everything in Korea. First when I was in the water it was really cold like freezing and my friend Georgia said her feet were freezing like an ice block. Next we walked quickly through the water to get the cold off.  When I started walking it was so cold I almost screamed. After that we did a race of kicking feet and it was not that hard.  I was waiting for free time. Finally it was free time!!! but I didn't have fun at free time because I was so cold I had to get out of the pool. I had a great swimming time!!

Probability with Yatzee

My Reflection

I was learning about probability.  We had to play the game Yahtzee and talk about which combinations were most likely and least likely.  I thought it was an interesting way to learn because it was like a game and I didn’t really realise I was learning.  My next step is to use probability in a different situation.

Term 4,Week 1

Last Term {term 3 week 9}we went to MOTAT it's a museum.my best thing was the real tram and magic light thing and also when we was on the tram we saw a bunnies,chicken and some bird but I forget the name of the bird.first when we came to the MOTAT we went to meeting place,at meeting place firstly we ate the morning tea.and I forget what my group go at first time. anyway we know about a tram it was bit scared because it was bit high up.so I think the MOTAT is the best trip at school.And I hope I'm going there again with my family so I can teach them what I learnt.

Term 3 Week 9

This week I very enjoyed the Geometry-Tessellations because I can learn about geometry,also I did special activities of geometry.it was coloring the little boxes with making one shapes! maybe it can be just special to me.there was a five shapes and I chosen the cross one.and I enjoyed this week because we got a only one week until holiday! OH! I forget one more thing. Yesterday all the Year 4 played the dodge-ball and I think we will play today too. I hope .the dodge-ball team was house groups.so like this week and I'm exciting about next week.

 Yesterday my sister and I was ready for today because today,2 September is my Dad's birthday.I made a flower and sister Sarah made birthday card and birthday cone hat.I think Dad will be really happy.I made a flower to papers.first I need to ford green paper to half,and then cut the middle part [many].Next my sister made a flowers,so I need to glue it.After that I need to glue it again at the end.I will give the flower today and I hope he will be happy .I think when we having party tonight ,it will be great .I feeling so EXCITING!!!!

Term 3 Week 6

Yesterday we played game with Mrs Harward.I don't know what it call.but it was really fun.because I get many people with the ball.I will tell you how to play.if I get the ball and threw the ball to the another friend and she catch the ball then I need to sit down.sit down means out.but! if that girl who make me out if she's out then I'm joining the game again! and if I want to get another people then I can go only 3 steps.And I get the someone and that friend didn't catch the then that people is out.So I love that game,and also another game either.Next time I want to play more!

Term 3 Week 2

Last Tuesday we did the tree planting. Georgia and I was partner,but we plant only 2 trees because it was hard job to dig the ground.There was three teachers was,Anna,Carl and Paul and they help us to dig.It was fun because Georgia step on the shovel.First we need to learn how to plant the trees,and we need to deeper
and put the tablet and then we can put the trees.And it was muddy so we need to ware the gum boats.I learnt how to do the planting and I felt "I wanna do it more"

My Kaitiaki has long hair,brave and is kind of fish and human is mixed,he had a yellow stick and he would be wet because he is kind of fish and he is kind.

Term 2 Week 9

Last Thursday,the 18th of June the whole school did the celebrate Matariki, that meaning like Maori new year.So, we did many activities to celebrate Matariki. First I did make a star,we need to get a three groups
then desecration the star.next we read the book we have to get a partner and they have to be year 1-3
then we need to read the books for them. After that we played the game we need to do choose the number
then teacher call the number,we need to run around then get a poi then we can go to next novel.Finally we
went to classroom then we talk about what we do.I thought fun and I want to do more.My best part
was game.next year I want to do another activities.

Learning About Adjectives

 

 I was learning to add adjectives to give my sentences more meaning. I have to remember to use adjectives that make the picture clear for my reader. I thought this activity was a easy because I just think of the words. My best adjective was stormy because I like stormy rain. My next step is to use adjectives in my own stories to make them interesting.

Term 2 Week 5

Last week I very enjoyed Te Tuhi trips we learn the how the kiwi lost its wing.  We did collage, that is what we learnt about .  I also enjoyed the wind chimes art because I can learn about wind chimes.  I also enjoyed the kahoot games and year 4 bike skills cancelled because it was raining.

I have been learning to recognise and understand prefixes.

I know now that when a prefixes added to the beginning of word it changes the meaning of the word.

This can help me understand what word mean. It was a bit tricky because I haven't learnt about this before My next step is to learn different prefixes.

We were learning how to write a cinquain poem.  We wrote poems to describe Autumn leaves.

It was easy because we wrote word bank together.  It was good to play with the leaves to help us describe
